network.http.pipelining.maxrequests is capped at 8.
Stop perpetuating these things as “helpful”. As a large-scale server admin, I hate you on behalf of my servers. Keep-alive works fine, you *don’t* need 8 simultaneous connections. The cost of negotiating that connection can be much higher and take more time than waiting for the extra 700 byte CSS file to come down properly over the keep-alive channel.
well, crap….i followed the instructions, THAN got to the bottom and read “Dont do the new integer i mentioned in the broadband section, only do what is typed there ^^^” How the heck do I get rid of that value??
art: the line: “Dont do the new integer i mentioned in the broadband section, only do what is typed there ^^^” means that the initial paint delay integer is only needed for broadband connections.
If you want to delete it, open your profile folder (X:/Documents and Settings//Application Data/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/xxxxxxxx.default), the “prefs.js” file contains all the settings in about:config. Just delete a line from here and its gone for good!
